Large tom with an unusually fluffy tail and a silent disposition.[/sub]
CAN YOU GO INTO MORE DETAIL PLEASE
Silentstar, being a Maine Coon cat, is unusually large compared to his fellow Clanmates. Broad shouldered like a dog might be, and a piercing gaze that slices into souls like shattered glass, one can tell he is a force to be reckoned with. His fur is thick and dark, but is speckled with white and brown in a tabby design, giving him a look of something more feral than a cat.... in fact, some believe that Silentstar is part Lynx because of his looks and size. Not only that, but his ears have the classic black tufts that his wild cat cousins have.[/sub]
With his emerald green eyes set in an almost everlasting narrowed state, Silentstar trods with his head low and his hackles raised, clearly showing his "don't mess with me" attitude. This of course, makes him a strong leader in the sense that no one dares defy him. His tail is unusually dense with fur, a trait that many Maine Coons seem to have, so he keeps his tail raised high, even when hunting so the fur won't get dirty and of course, make extra noise.
That said, Silentstar is not too nitpicky about his cleanliness. If he is uncomfortable he will groom, but otherwise, does not care if there is dirt or leaves stuck to his coat. It helps him camouflage, he claims.
WHAT ARE YOU LIKE?
So, you want to know about this cat? Well, good luck getting it from the guy himself. Silentstar is, as his name suggests, silent. He rarely, if ever speaks for reasons he will, of course, never say.... but regardless, his Clanmates know him well.[/sub]
Despite that he never vocalizes his needs, wants, and emotions, he keeps a watchful eye on his Clan, making it clear that he cares for their well being. Sure, he walks around like he does not want to be bothered, but when surrounded by other cats he trusts, that demeanor vanishes almost immediately.
However, don't let that make you think you can get all comfy with this ball of fur. He's hardly what one would call cuddly. While it's clear that Silentstar can trust and is fond of those he considers his friends, he will still keep a weary eye on everyone, and makes it clear who is in charge should his authority be questioned. Silentstar is a cat of order, in other words. He knows the ropes of life, and is willing to teach them, but only if the Clan does exactly as he asks of them.
YOUR FAMILY TREE
He wouldn't tell me. Perhaps you should ask him yourself....[/sub]
"Ya want to know my story? Well, ain't you lucky I'm feeling like a nice guy today. It isn't pretty though, so I warn you, you faint of heart shouldn't be listening in on this.
Fourty-Seven moons ago, I was born to a beautiful she-cat whose name escapes me. I'm a fool, to have forgotten my own mother's name, but she was not kind enough to give me one of my own. I was lovingly called 'Boy' throughout the first few moons of my life.
She always looked at me with eyes full of sorrow. I will never know why. Perhaps it was because I was her only kit, and she knew that I too, would die without her help as she fell more and more ill. Being young and ignorant, I missed the clear signs that she was dying right before my eyes.
I was about six moons when she finally passed on, or was it eight? Surprisingly, I felt nothing for her at that point. Sure, I was young, but I was also naive. I thought I could live on my own.... but didn't we all have dreams of leaving the nest once in a while back then?
I wandered around for quite a while as a loner, or perhaps it felt long because of the restless nights and days without much sleep. My insides squirmed as I slowly found myself growing thinner and thinner. I did not know how to hunt. It became apparent to me that I was doomed.
Now, here comes the real part of the story. I was not some heroic young cat. I didn't care what animal came by me next, but whatever it was, I was going to eat it. I was going to kill it and fill my stomach with its blood and body fat. I needed it. I was desperate. I was going to die.
It was then that I found a fellow cat like myself. Unbeknown to me at that point, it was a cat of the Clan I would one day lead: ThunderClan. I attacked with unsheathed claws, batting at fur, hoping to tear open something vital... but I was bested easily. I managed to tear the ear of the cat I'd opposed, but that was all I could muster before I found myself pinned on the ground with no means of escape.
I begged the cat to spare me, to forgive me. I knew nothing of self honor or nobility. I was ready to do anything to save my skin. We are not born with a sense of honor, we develop it. Grovelling did not seem to be a cowardice move at that time, but a survival tactic.
I'll never forget the words that were said to me that day: You are an idiot. Had you said that to me right now, I'd have clawed you upside the head, but at that moment, it dawned on me how pathetic I was being. I apologized, and explained my situation, but never got to finish before the cat I had drawn blood from had my scruff in his mouth, and dragged me back into a dense forest.
What happened next is probably predictable, right? Ha, wrong. I joined the Clan, fed myself until I was fat and able again, and then left when no one was looking. Nice cat I was back then. But that didn't last for very long. I strayed back towards the city, where I was born, now confident that I could survive.
But I couldn't. I was stupid. I had learned nothing from my near death experience before. Thankfully, with this next time, I realized how insignificant a life form we cats really are. We're not all powerful, and have no reason to be snide in our abilities. I could not live alone. I needed the Clan.
So I went back.
The next few months were torture, though this time not physically. This time, mentally. I was not Clanborn, so therefore, I was a target to be made fun of. I was big, and noisy, and so that was more a reason for me to be picked on. I was alright at battle moves, but not agile. The only advantage I had was my size.
The mind is a powerful tool, however. One day, I finally cracked. I spent moons working on honing my skills. I rarely spoke to anyone anymore, except for maybe my mentor, because I wanted to become perfect. To best all those who had made fun of me....
And it was that day that I became a warrior. Which day? Oh, don't tell me you haven't heard the story of the fox attack. Usually, foxes are not a huge problem in the Clans, but they are there. One time, however, a mother fox ready to have kits stormed into the camp and tried to steal some burrows underneath the trees, which we used for the Nursery, Elders Dens, and Medicine Cat Den. As the Clan went into a panic trying to defend themselves, I climbed a tree, using silent steps to stalk the fox until I felt it was time to strike.
And it was time. I jumped, my fur sweeping through the air with only the softest of noises, and the next thing that could be heard was the ripping of flesh. I had cut a clean line down the vixen's back so it was left squirming in its own blood. After many shallow breaths, the fox finally ceased to exist.
I am not proud of what I did to this day. I took the life of an innocent creature and its unborn kits. Did you know that fox babies are called kits too? Yet we are mortal enemies in this world....
But I get off track again. I was made into a warrior that day, and instead of Gaintpaw, I was named Silentstalker, for my performance on that fateful night.
You want to know how I became leader? Well use your brain then. It's called hard work. Not everyone appreciated me afterward. There were still those that hated my existence, and there will always be those souls that hate to see the underdog rise up, but it is something we all have to deal with, my friend."
